Its obvious Laurie didn't have it all together... I know she wanted to take care of the women and be an influence but at the end of the show she exposed herself.... Some rolemodel. The women are 35 and up i dont think they need a mommy! Its nice she wanted to but its a competition and what Laurie did was unprofessional!

I agree with Joy De that the way the show handled the situation with Laurie was in poor taste. Even in just the way you all kept going after she exposed herself. It would have been much more professional, educational (and in good taste) to spend some time acknowledging what happened. I imagine it would be very upsetting to see someone go through the manic episode that Laurie went through. Please address this in the next episode with a mental health professional.

Laurie is clearly mentally ill. She shows symptoms of manic depression. This show has taken advantage of her. I am sickened that there has been no mention of TVland's trying to get this poor woman medical attention. There is a reason freak shows went out of fashion: they bothered people who have a conscience. Joy

I'm sorry, Kim but as a 49 year old woman and a former fan of this shop, I am really disappointed in the judges and producers of this travesty. There's a saying that goes.... "You knew I was a snake when you picked me up".. well you did. You guys saw the craziness that was Laurie when you interviewed her and chose her for that very reason. Maybe when she compared herself with Joan of Ark and Oprah, you might have had a clue that she wasn't quite playing with a full deck, but you chose her anyway for the drama factor. You of course knew she would create drama and tension in the house, and chose to go there for that very reason. To act shocked now if just ridiculous.

Also, it was appaling the way you judged these women who deserved much more respect than they have been given over the first two episodes of your show... "cheerleader", "soccer mom", "disaster", "dead"... while they are standing right there. They deserve better than your cruel and harsh judgment.

Laurie might be crazy but she's crazy like a fox. She said she was chosen to bring drama to the show and I believe her. She might be crazy but she tells it like she sees it and so do I. I won't be watching again.

I loved the beginning of the show, because I love to see women better themselves. This was an outside makeover, one that we could see quickly. We did it to give the women more confidence because when you look professional, you act more professional. It's amazing to me, though, how women can be so protective of a certain look that they feel is their best. They really try to hold on to it.

I was amazed that during the makeover some of the women didn't trust a New York City salon, with some of the best hair and makeup experts in the world, to know the best look for their face. The grumpy complaining going on behind the scenes was ungracious. Looking at the "Before" and "After" pictures tells it all, but some contestants only saw what was different to them. My favorite makeovers were LeeAnne and Theresa.

The elimination was a disaster; Laurie had had enough. I couldn't figure her out. She was restless and set apart from the other girls from the interview right through to the elimination. She really had a thing for "perfection," or rather her definition of it. Her idea of how to dress, workout and eat was way off from most people's, and no matter what anyone said, she thought she was right all the time. She did not care what others thought of her -- it was sad in a way.

At the elimination, I was speechless. I was so grateful for Sean taking over the situation with Laurie and her naked chest. He told her we wouldn't talk to her unless she got dressed again. I thought she was inconsolable. I was not sure where she came from having that fit -- or what she was trying to get from it. She had an ulterior motive somewhere. I was worried that Rachel Hunter would bolt, thinking "What kind of a show is this?!" She was very professional and great to have on the show. She gave a nice perspective that was different from Beverly's and mine.
