The practice of selling something for considerably less than it is worth to attract customers.  Even going so far as to take a loss on the product.  WalMart is famous for this practice.  Been hearing alot about it on the news lately.  What does everyone think about it?  WalMart is not the only one doing it.

They sure do. I don't like it but people don't think about the end result, they just think they are getting a good deal. I have a friend who owns a liquor store and he tells me he is worried about CVS and Walmart both doing that and effecting his business to the point where he will be driven out of business.

Break on thru to the other side....

It's manipulative, at best. At worst, it's misrepresentation. Perhaps even unethical? One example from last year was laptop computers at Best Buy, and elsewhre, for $99. True, the ad states limited quanites, or some other legal cya, but retailers knew that demand would far exceed supply. 500 people waiting in line for, what, 3 toshiba latops? People fighting over them. Digraceful. I don't like to drive during the holidays, let alone go shopping, Uggg...

Wal-Mart is the worst thing that's ever happened to the small businesses and rural America.

I wouldn't miss them one bit if they all closed their doors today!

Wal Mart is one of many examples of capitalism run amok. When our consumption diven system turns and bites us on the @$$, there is something rotten in Arkansas. lol
