I think Kathy was not emotionally prepared for this type of challenge. She is better off making chocolate chip cookies for her kids and the neighborhood. Too much crying and wining.

.. the show aired in 2007.. meaning she was lieing to one of the two shows... might be why she shuddered when they asked her age?
she made it to almost the very end of that show... she got selected, and was entered into it... so at the start of this show shes got the look, when she said shed never won anything like that... she was lieing.. shes a big liar..

just thought id point that out.. for those of you who may not have seen the show who wants to be a superhero... she was in it.

Wow I wanna be just like Chickie when I grow up and I think she's my new inspiration. I love her and wish her all the success in any future endeavours. She shines!

Also wow on Kathy's decision but you could see where it was heading and I believe she made the right choice for herself given the circumstances. I hope that Kathy doesn't regret this in that eventually the nest will be empty and the hardest part of having kids is having to let them go because although they are always "you're kids" they must have the freedom to live their own lives in the confidence of knowing that you are there for them when they need you! Trust me I know....can't wait for next week!

I've already sent a hot email to TVLand regarding the...shall we call it "odd"?...decision to dismiss Sharon...and, to allow Paula to remain! What constitutes "beauty", and "model quality" in this day-and-age, escapes me, I guess...especially when there is the presence of someone who has so much aberrant psychiatric "baggage" that she is almost crippled, when it comes to handling rejection...constructive criticism...and, the fact that there are some, in Paula's case...MANY ...who are MORE attractive, and MORE "marketable"! I am a so-called "woman-of-color"...now, retired...and in great shape. One of the secrets of my youth and strength is that I do not allow whether others are "prettier", or more "accomplished", wear me down...since the reality of Life is that there are always those who will outdistance us! Being a perennial "cry-baby", who invokes the old "race" game, in order to "win", and to "get by", is for a lot of us a most tiresome, and transparent device, invoked by the losers of the world to steamroller their way into places where they don't belong! Life is about Wisdom...Life is about Inate Beauty, of whatever color or stripe...Life is about Positive Influence, and gracing every "stage" where we all happen to be. Paula is a very unattractive, self-pitying, mad-at-the-world, embittered creature...and, may I say, appears to be a "cross-gender" soul, rather than a radiant, middle-aged would-be "goddess"! Paula..."Ugly IS as Ugly DOES", and all of the excuses in the world won't make you a "model" of anything except one of RAGE...INSECURITY...HATE...and, one who has NEVER admitted that she as significant issues, which need to be addressed, professionally!

I have been wondering all along where I have seen Paula. My husband loves the Superhero show..and indeed she was on that show. Wow, someone is not telling the truth.

I totally agree with you on the beautiful spirit of Chickie Davis! She is definitely an inspiration! Love You Chickie Davis!We will trulymiss her! Kathy is also a wonderful person who's heartstrings are strongly attached to her family and well they should be! She realized by participating in the competition that her heart reaaaallly belonged at home. Well...the show is about self-discovery. Love You too, Kathy!

I logged on with the sole reason to advise you of Paula being a train wreck on another show. I see two others have beaten me to the punch. She cheapens the whole competition with the ugly life has gotten the best of her attitude. When the judge said something about him knowing models that are problems I really thought she was going to get the boot. How did he know about the issue since it took place away from the judges. Is she a plant to make the show more controversail??

my mother and i both watch many different kinds of shows... like who wants to be a superhero, and shes got the look.

my mother and i both wonder if the show and competition is rigged.... theres no way they didnt notice paula and do a background check on her.
she screams up and down about her story to tell... its a beauty competition.. not a who's life is the worse.. and frankly.. as bad as her life Supposedly was/is.... there is always some one worse of then she is... so she should shut up, be greatful, and stop trying to make her life story on tv.
